Muireann O’Connell has one very proud mum. The TV presenter revealed that her lovely mother has a "shrine" dedicated to her magazine covers, which she shared with fans on social media.
Muireann says that the loving homage was originally started by her late father. She took photos of her mother standing beside the wall, which shows cut outs of Muireann from magazines such as the RTE Guide and Irish Country Magazine.
However, the 39-year-old was forced to admit that she had to share the space with a new contender, as a photo of co-presenter Tommy Bowe was now in the mix. The image shows the two Virgin Media hosts posing for a photo shoot.

She said in a video on Instagram: “My wall of shame, started by my dearly departed father, has gotten bigger and bigger over the years. Tommy, you’ve made the wall- welcome to the family.”
The new offering was made complete with a cheeky note, written by Muireann’s brother. He stuck up a paper note, scrawled with the words "Tommy, you’re so funny", underneath the new addition to the wall.
Tommy and Muireann have brilliant chemistry on their morning TV show, with both presenters regularly in stitches due to their on air antics. Tommy thanked Muireann’s mother for the family honour with a cheeky response on Instagram.
The former rugby player wrote: “Proud moment! Thank you Marie.” Ireland AM airs on Virgin Media 1 every weekday from 7am.
