Ireland striker Leanne Kiernan has become the first winner from this island - either male or female - of the Liverpool Player of the Season award.
The 23-year-old topped the poll for the Women’s prize ahead of Taylor Hinds and last season’s winner Missy Bo Kearns.
Reds fans vote for both male and female players of the year on the club website, with the men’s award running since 2001 and the women’s since 2014.
Kiernan, who is set to feature for Ireland later this month in World Cup qualification action in Georgia, scored 13 goals as Liverpool won promotion to the Women’s Super League.
The highlight of her season was a six-minute hat-trick in the 6-0 thumping of Blackburn, which included a Goal of the Season nominee.
She joined the club last June, following her former West Ham boss Matt Beard to Merseyside.
Cavan native and ex-Shelbourne star Kiernan has scored four goals in 25 caps for Ireland.
Mo Salah picked up the men’s prize after he scored 31 goals and provided 15 assists. He beat Alisson Becker to retain the award.
