Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has made strong accusations against Israel, claiming that the country is conducting indiscriminate attacks on women, children, and the elderly during its military operations. Speaking in Tehran, Pezeshkian criticized the United States and Europe for supporting what he referred to as a 'barbaric government'.

During his speech, Pezeshkian alleged that Israel was not adhering to the rules of war and accused its allies of applying double standards. He highlighted the irony of Iran being frequently criticized for its human rights record while Israel's actions go unquestioned.

'Europe and America have placed a barbaric government here, and some people who claim to support human rights defend it,' Pezeshkian stated. He went on to condemn Israel for its attacks on vulnerable populations, stating, 'It doesn’t observe any human limits, it easily bombards women, children, elderly, and young people.'

The Iranian President further criticized the international community for its selective focus on human rights issues, pointing out the disparity in reactions to different forms of violence. He questioned why some individuals are quick to condemn executions in Iran but remain silent on the killing of innocent civilians by Israel.

Pezeshkian's remarks were made during a ceremony in Tehran that marked the return of ancient Persian clay tablets from the United States. The event provided a platform for the President to express his views on the ongoing conflict in the region and to call for greater accountability for actions that result in civilian casualties.
