Iranian Missile Attack Causes Damage Near Israeli School

An Iranian missile is seen during the annual military parade in Tehran

Israeli authorities were conducting an investigation to determine the type of missile used in an attack believed to be carried out by Iran on Tuesday. The aftermath of the attack near a school in the central Israeli town of Gedera revealed significant damage. The strike shattered a wall and the windows of a second-grade classroom, leaving the interior in disarray.

At the site of the attack, workers and heavy machinery were observed clearing debris around a large crater, approximately 8 feet deep at its lowest point. Pieces of shrapnel were carefully collected for further analysis by authorities.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported from the attack, although children had been present at the school just hours before. Images and videos captured at the scene showed remnants of an Iranian ballistic missile, including the guidance section and warhead. A former senior explosive ordnance technician for the US Army noted the presence of these components but mentioned the challenge of identifying the exact model due to the absence of reference images.
