Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran does not seek war but is prepared to deliver a stronger response if Israel retaliates following Iran's missile attack on Tuesday. Pezeshkian made these statements during a joint appearance with Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in Doha on Wednesday.
Accusing Israel of instigating insecurity in the region, Pezeshkian condemned what he described as historical crimes committed by Israel. He stated, 'We were left with no choice but to respond. If Israel wants to react, we will have a stronger response, this is what the Islamic Republic is committed to.'
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to Iran's missile attack by warning that Iran had made a significant mistake and would face consequences for its actions.
The missile attack carried out by Iran on Tuesday involved the firing of approximately 200 ballistic missiles. Iran stated that the attack was in retaliation for the killings of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.
