Iran Targets Israeli Air Bases In Missile Attack

An anti-missile system operates after Iran launched drones and missiles towards Israel, as seen from Ashkelon

On Tuesday night, the Israel Defense Forces reported that approximately 180 missiles were fired by Iran. While the extent of the damage is still being assessed, initial analysis of the attack has revealed at least three apparent targets.

Video footage from the attack indicates that a significant number of missiles fell in close proximity to the headquarters of Mossad, Nevatim Air Base, and Tel Nof Air Base. These locations align with the anticipated targets identified by both the US intelligence community and Israeli authorities.

In Tel Aviv's Glilot neighborhood, videos show that at least two missiles landed near the Mossad HQ, which is situated in a densely populated area with residential and commercial buildings. In the Negev desert, the Nevatim base, one of Israel's largest facilities, was struck by a substantial number of Iranian rockets. Notably, this base had been targeted by Iran in a previous attack on April 13, with minimal damage reported by the IDF.

Further south, near Tel Aviv, another video captured impacts in the vicinity of the Tel Nof base, located approximately 15 miles from the city. The attack on these strategic military sites underscores the ongoing tensions in the region and the potential threats faced by Israel from hostile actors.
