Iran has lifted flight suspensions that were put in place following reports of explosions near a military base in Isfahan province. The spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization announced that operational restrictions at airports have been removed, allowing airlines to resume scheduled flights.
Flights have now resumed at Mehrabad Airport and Imam Khomeini International Airport, the two major airports in Tehran, after being temporarily suspended earlier in the day. The suspension had affected flights heading to Tehran, Isfahan, and Shiraz, as well as airports in the West, North West, and South West regions of Iran.
Outgoing flights were also briefly canceled as a precautionary measure. However, with the lifting of operational restrictions, normal flight operations have now been restored at the major airports in the country.
