Iran Claims Missile Attack On Israel Was Necessary Response

Objects are seen in the sky above Jerusalem after Iran launched drones and missiles towards Israel, in Jerusalem

Iran's envoy to the United Nations justified Iran's recent missile attack on Israel as a 'necessary and proportionate response' to what they described as Israel's 'aggressive acts' in the Middle East. The envoy, Amir Saeid Iravani, emphasized that Israel 'only understands the language of force' and issued a warning that any further aggression would not be tolerated.

Iravani accused Israel of escalating tensions in the region through its actions and claimed that Iran's previous acts of restraint had only emboldened Israel to commit more crimes and acts of aggression. He argued that Iran's response was essential to restore balance and deter future aggression from Israel.

Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, also weighed in on the situation, stating that countries that assisted in blocking missiles targeting Israel would be 'held responsible' for their involvement.

The statements made by Iranian officials come in the wake of heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, with the recent missile attack marking a significant escalation in hostilities between the two nations.
