Iranian flag carrier Iran Air has announced the suspension of all flights to the Lebanese capital of Beirut due to ongoing 'aggression by the Israeli regime,' as reported by the country's state news agency IRNA on Saturday.
The decision to suspend flights comes in the wake of the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in a massive Israeli airstrike on Beirut's densely populated Dahiyeh neighborhood on Friday. The airstrike resulted in the destruction of several residential buildings, leaving devastation in its wake.
Israel has continued its military operations in Beirut, with additional strikes being carried out on what Israeli officials claim are Hezbollah targets. Lebanese authorities have reported a significant death toll, with over 1,000 people killed since the conflict escalated last week.
