Ipswich vs Manchester United: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds

The Ruben Amorim era is about to get underway at Manchester United ahead of the return to Premier League action this weekend.

After what feels like an age, United fans will soon be able to watch their new manager in the dugout when United travel down to Ipswich on Sunday.

Amorim has been putting the players who did not go on international duty through their paces at the training ground and it will be fascinating to see what impact he’s had, even at this early stage of his tenure.

United, despite an otherwise dreadful season, actually entered the international break in reasonably good form. Ruud van Nistelrooy went unbeaten in his four games in interim charge of the first-team and signed off with a 3-0 win over Leicester before leaving.

Still, the Tractor Boys are up and running in the League after beating Tottenham 2-1 and former United coach Kieran McKenna would no doubt love to spoil the party.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Ipswich vs Manchester United is scheduled for a 4.30pm GMT kick-off time on Sunday 24 November, 2024.

Portman Road in Ipswich will host.

Ipswich vs Manchester United team news

Ipswich will need to make a decision on Jack Taylor, Jacob Greaves, Wesley Burns and Nathan Broadhead after recent knocks. Kalvin Phillips is available again following his suspension. Chiedozie Ogbene is injured.

United, meanwhile, are seemingly starting to see their injury crisis ease. Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro have all started to train under Amorim, along with Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount.

Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof were back at the club’s Carrington base for assessment after picking up knocks over the international break, while Harry Maguire is again expected to miss out.

Ipswich vs Manchester United prediction

It is of course difficult to know where United are at such an early stage of the Amorim era, especially as he’s not even had a full squad to train with.

With Ipswich starting to find a foothold in the Premier League, a draw would not be a disaster for either side.

Draw, 1-1.
