Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
17:08Tottenham makes it three wins in a row as they convincingly beat Ipswich Town 4-1 away from home. The visitors found the breakthrough in the 18th minute, as Son found joy on the left and jinked past Godfrey to supply Johnson with an easy tap-in. While the celebrations were muted due to Johnson senior's spell in Suffolk, the groans were increasingly audible for the second goal eight minutes later as the formula remained the same. Son was played in on the left and danced back across the box to find Johnson to roll past Palmer easily. Ipswich did find a glimmer of hope as Hutchinson guided a cute Clarke pull-back into the bottom-right corner before the interval, yet a resounding Spurs performance quickly snuffed that out in the second period. Following a Woolfenden header disallowed for offside, Postecoglou's side supplied a pair of sucker punches as first Spence fired in a deflected effort in the 77th minute before the 84th saw Kulusevski wrap things up with a lovely curler off the inside of the left post. After this outing that saw the visitors comfortably exceed their 1.62 xG, Spurs move to 12th. For 1.13 xG Ipswich on the other hand, they stay in 18th. Thank you for joining us today, we hope you enjoyed the game!

Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:57Scarlett looks to drive away on his own, yet his lack of help leaves him isolated and O'Shea comes back to rob the ball.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:56Broadhead wants a penalty after being brought down by Kulusevski following a lovely touch inside the box. Although the Swede looked to hit the top of the Welshman's foot, VAR deemed the contact to be minimal.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:54Well, Tottenham look set for three wins in a row now. They last won three on the bounce in December 2023, while they last did so without conceding in May 2022.

Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:34Hutchinson's cross is charged down easily following a short corner. Spurs look to break, but Kulusevski just runs the ball out of play. Davis then looks for Delap, but it's headed out. Philogene then comes forward, but the offensive edge is really lacking.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:34A lofted ball from the right lands in the Spurs box and Broadhead strikes. It's blocked well. Spurs try to counter with Tel, yet his move is halted immediately. In the next phase, Hutchinson drives down the right to the byline and wins a corner. Can the hosts use this momentum? The crowd seem to think so...
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:30Spurs have a corner on the left. Son takes to Maddison quickly but Ipswich recover nicely to keep them hemmed into the corner. It's a bit of a waste, truth be told. Surely, it's too early for timewasting?
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:30Another of those on a booking in Clarke, comes off for Welsh international Nathan Broadhead.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:29Hutchinson brings down Son on the left and Maddison stands over the free-kick. Can the former Norwich City man conjure up a decent delivery? No, it goes straight into the gloves of Palmer.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:26In the second of a double-change, Udogie is replaced by Pedro Porro.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:26Risky defending from O'Shea! He bundles over Danso as the defender chases the ball in the Ipswich box. That could've been a penalty there! That's a huge let-off for the hosts.

16:25Substitution Brennan Price Johnson James Daniel Maddison
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:24BIG BLOCK! Bergvall and Kulusevski work the ball right for Johnson to shoot! What a block from Davis to deny the hat-trick! Corner on the right to follow.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:23DISALLOWED GOAL! Following a fine header home from Woolfenden at the back post, the alternate angles show the substitute was several yards offside during the Hutchinson delivery after an initially blocked free-kick. He had acres of space there, it did seem a bit too good to be true!
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:20Davis' set piece is wasted by the hosts as Spurs clear. Postecoglou's side threaten to counter, yet Clarke helps his team recover by dispossessing Johnson. In the next phase, Udogie fouls Philogene and there'll be a free-kick on the right, just outside the 18-yard box.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:20Ipswich press excellently as Spurs look slightly panicked. First, Clarke nabs the ball from Spence after Vicario comes out. Then, Greaves is up to rob the ball. However, the visitors just about recover. Gray and Davis tussle in the corner, with the latter coming off favourably for an Ipswich free-kick on the wing.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:16Spurs move the ball smartly, stringing a series of well-placed passes. However, this comes to an abrupt end as Danso is caught in two minds on the edge of the Ipswich box whether to shoot or pass. He opts to pass to Spence, but the ball rolls out tamely.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:13Substitution Jens-Lys Michel Cajuste Jack Henry Philip Taylor
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:13Cajuste looks to have rolled his ankle. It's a painful one, following Phillips' challenge on Bentancur that sent the Uruguayan landing on the Swede's awkwardly positioned ankle. It doesn't look like he's able to continue.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:11Spurs have started this half with solid possession. They're clearly comfortable at the moment, just slowly edging up the pitch. Saying that, Son is found on the left, before his touch evades him and it's a Palmer goal-kick.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:08Contrary to the earlier comment, Woolfenden has moved into a central position alongside Greaves, while O'Shea is the man tasked with marking Son.

Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
16:03The first half saw Ipswich exceed their 0.89 xG, yet you can't help thinking what the complexion of this game would be like if those early chances had found the back of the net. Indicating a clear and decisive difference, Son's quality has been there for all to see, as he's been the key to unlocking the Tractor Boys' otherwise resolute backline. Spurs have done well to work above their 1.42 xG, and will hope that Son's fine creative eye continues in the second period. With his opponent Godfrey already on a booking, you feel if the hosts don't adapt to the threat, then the game really could be won and lost on that left flank. Will McKenna reshuffle at the break?
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:58Tottenham lead Ipswich 2-1 at Portman Road, as a Johnson double interrupted by a fine Hutchinson strike has taken the headlines so far. Undeterred by their hosts' fast start that saw Delap and Hutchinson force Vicario into two excellent saves as Spurs scrambled off the line, the visitors found the breakthrough in the 18th minute. Son found joy on the left and jinked past Godfrey to find Johnson for an easy tap-in. While the celebrations were muted due to Johnson senior's spell in Suffolk, the groans were audible for the second goal in the 26th minute as the formula was the same. Son was played in on the left and danced back across the box to find Johnson to roll past Palmer easily. Going back on early intent, Ipswich did find a glimmer of hope as Hutchinson guided a cute Clarke pull-back into the bottom-right corner, yet the first period ends with Spurs in the driver's seat.

15:51HALF-TIME: IPSWICH TOWN 1-2 TOTTENHAM

15:50Tel looks energetic despite his earlier fall. Ipswich do well to just about usher him out of their area before Spurs play a bit of keep-ball.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:49The numbers have been crunched. There will be a minimum of three minutes of stoppage time.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:47Play resumes after a brief stoppage for the French U21 international.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:46Following a collision with Godfrey in the air, Tel is down after landing awkwardly. It looks like he's really knocked the wind out of himself.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:44BENTANCUR! The Uruguayan workhorse latches onto a loose throw-in from Ipswich and drives at goal. Palmer gets down well to his left and Greaves has to nod behind for a corner.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:42The goal has really raised the roof in Portman Road now. Clarke is found in a similar position to his earlier assist in the box and he pokes it to Hutchinson on the edge. The midfielder shoots, but his effort is low and easy for Vicario to gather. Still, there are hopeful signs for the trailing hosts.

Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:31Son is a continued presence on the left and although there are bodies up with him, this time he chooses to fire for the bottom-left corner. A big right foot from Palmer saves before the keeper aptly punches away the resulting corner delivery from the left.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:28Assist Heung-Min Son
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:28Clarke and Davis play well together inwards from the left and the ball finds Delap on the edge of the box. In a swivelling shot, the forward hits a tame effort at Vicario, but he continues to look lively. Ipswich come forward once more up the left, yet Davis' ball into the box is easily intercepted by Bentancur.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:25Delap latches onto a high long ball. He's such a physical talent. He just shrugs off Gray, before Danso is the next challenger. The Austrian does well enough to force the striker out for a goal-kick, but you can tell it's a real struggle to contain him.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:24Ipswich look to come back with a great reaction to going behind. First, Clarke's on-target effort musters an easy save for Vicario, before Philogene's belter whizzes just high of the Italian's goal.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:21Goal Brennan Price Johnson
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:21There's a real frenetic pace today and both teams are vying for the ball in a really competitive nature. Clarke is slotted in down the left, yet Spence matches him stride for stride to win the ball back. In the next phase, the Ipswich winger brings down Gray to bring momentary quiet with a foul, but hopefully this tempo continues.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:16Yellow Card Brennan Price Johnson
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:16BERGVALL! Son chases a ball down the left and cooks Godfrey for pace. He then plays it back for Bergvall who shoots inside the box. O'Shea blocks with Palmer diving and Johnson looks to charge onto the loose ball but Greaves is there to hook clear in heroic fashion!
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:12The pace has just slowed now, as Spurs look to grow in confidence on the ball. Spence tries to play Johnson, before Cajuste intercepts well. In the next phase, Son fouls Hutchinson with a poor bodycheck in the centre.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:11Udogie is the target with a looping ball over from the right. However, Palmer darts out quickly to settle the home nerves.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:09DELAP HEADS OFF THE BAR! Danso fouls the energetic Hutchinson on the right and the resulting free-kick cross from Phillips is met nicely by Delap with an early leap. He nods it back across and it rattles the crossbar just above the top-left corner before Spurs scramble clear! This has been a wild encounter so far...
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:08Tottenham look to respond down the left, yet Palmer does well to come out low and collect the ball inside the box.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:06EARLY DRAMA! Cajuste charges forward through the centre and plays in Delap on the left. The striker shoots and Vicario saves before Hutchinson tries to bundle the rebound over the line but the keeper stands strong. Ipswich are waiting for the ref's watch to buzz, but there's a whistle for offside instead. Vicario does excellently to keep the ball out nonetheless!
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:06JUST WIDE! Delap bounds forward again and shoots from the left but it's just flashed low across the face! What a start this has been for the hosts!
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:03And we're off at Portman Road!
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:03Referee Robinson meets with the respective captains in the centre circle and it seems that the visitors in their white shirts and dark blue shirts will get us underway, kicking from right to left.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
15:01While the hosts won't necessarily have an easy job today, they do have a solid record against Spurs over the years. Ipswich have won their last four Premier League games against Tottenham. They last won five consecutive top-flight meetings with an opponent against Norwich, between 1984 and 1993. Will they continue to build on form of yesteryear and improve their chances at Premier League survival? Or, will Tottenham make a routine outing of the Tractor Boys? Referee Tim Robinson leads the players out onto the pitch at Portman Road.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur

14:35Following hard-fought victories over both Leicester City and Manchester United, 13th-placed Tottenham Hotspur travel to Portman Road with a third consecutive Premier League win in their sights. Revenge will also be on the visitors’ minds today after the Tractor Boys grabbed their first top-flight win of the campaign in the reverse fixture earlier this season. Kieran McKenna’s 17th-placed side will be hoping to disrupt the North Londoners and build on a promising 1-1 draw against Aston Villa last time out. That said, today’s hosts in Suffolk are still waiting for their first top-flight success of 2025, having failed to triumph in any of their six games in the competition since the turn of the year.
