Eleven England stars were picked up in the IPL auction over the weekend, with Liam Livingstone becoming the most expensive overseas player and Jofra Archer earning a bumper payday despite being unable to feature in this season's edition of the competition.
Livingstone became a millionaire in the auction, with Punjab Kings forking out £1.1m to sign the all-rounder.
Last year, he was bought for just £73,000 by Rajasthan Royals but, after a stunning breakout year which saw him strike England fastest T20I century and cement his spot as a regular in their T20I side, Livingstone has earned a bumper payday.
Archer, meanwhile, was picked up by Mumbai Indians for £783,000, even though he will not feature for them this year due to injury.
The England quick is currently recovering from an elbow problem, but entered the auction with a view to playing in the 2023 and 2024 editions of the IPL.
Mark Wood and Jonny Bairstow also earned big money deals, with new franchise Lucknow Super Giants paying £734,000 for Wood and Punjab Kings forking out £660,000 for Bairstow.
Alex Hales earned a £146,790 contract with Kolkata Knight Riders and he will be joined by wicketkeeper Sam Billings, who was bought by the same franchise for £195,700.
Chris Jordan was signed by Chennai Super Kings for £352,300, while Tymal Mills was signed by Mumbai Indians for £146,790.
Jason Roy and David Willey were both signed for £195,700, with Roy joining new franchise Gujarat Lions and Willey getting picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Benny Howell became the only uncapped English player to earn an IPL contract, with the Gloucestershire all-rounder joining Livingstone and Bairstow at Punjab Kings.
Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali will also be involved in this year's IPL, having been retained by Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings respectively.
Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Chris Woakes all opted against entering the auction, while Eoin Morgan, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Reece Topley and George Garton all failed to attract any bids.
