Punjab Kings have replaced the injured Raj Angad Bawa with batting all-rounder Gurnoor Singh Brar after the former was ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season with a left shoulder injury.
According to the statement released by the IPL, Brar was picked by the Punjab franchise for Rs 20 lakh.
Brar made his first-class debut for Punjab in December last year.
The 22-year-old Brar has featured in five first-class matches and scored 107 runs at a strike rate of 120.22 and picked up seven wickets at an economy rate of 3.80.
Punjab Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by seven runs via Duckworth-Lewis method in their IPL 2023 opener in Mohali on April 1.
Punjab's next game is against the Rajasthan Royals later today (Wednesday) in Guwahati.
