MUMBAI: 2022 IPL champions Gujarat Titans are likely to trade Kiwi paceman Lockie Ferguson for Shivam Mavi with the Kolkata Knight Riders, TOI has learnt.
Ferguson, who can clock up speeds of 150-plus on a regular basis and is currently a part of the New Zealand team which has reached the semifinals of the T20 World Cup, took 12 wickets in 13 games for the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans in the IPL earlier this year.
The 31-year-old quick was released by the Shah Rukh Khan-owned franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 auctions, and was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 10 crore. The trading window, and the deadline for franchises to release their players ahead of the IPL auctions on December 16 is on till 4.30pm on November 15.
Haddin, Langeveldt in Punjab coaching staff
The Punjab Kings have roped in former Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin as their assistant / fielding coach and ex-South African pacer Charl Langeveldt as their bowling coach.
With Trevor Bayliss being their new head coach, this now means that the Punjab Kings have yet again opted for an overhaul of their coaching staff.
