Iowa CB Cooper DeJean medically cleared, will hold private workout next week

Iowa cornerback Cooper DeJean is ready to show off his elite athleticism. One of the top cornerback prospects who was unable to participate in athletic testing the NFL combine now will hold a private workout.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, DeJean has been medically cleared  for all activities with no restrictions from his broken fibula he suffered in November.

He will hold a private workout on April 8 at Iowa, doing athletic testing and positional drills.

DeJean is one of the top cornerback prospects in the 2024 NFL draft and is expected to be selected in the first round.

He is six feet tall and weighs 203 pounds. Over the last two seasons, he picked off seven passes and had 13 total pass breakups, as well as 116 total tackles, five for loss.

He is believed to be one of the most athletic defensive backs in the draft.

The Arizona Cardinals could have interest in DeJean and, depending on what happens on draft night in the first round, they could be in a position to select him.
