The Pittsburgh Steelers class of undrafted free agents for 2023 is relatively small but there are a couple of names to remember. One of those is Iowa State offensive lineman Trevor Downing.
Down was the Cyclones starting center in 2022 and powered an offense that averaged almost 370 yards of offense per game. Downing also has some position versatility having been a starting guard in 2021 before moving to center.
The Steelers have been loading up on interior offensive linemen in free agency and the draft so it will be an interesting competition to see how everything shakes out in training camp.
Pittsburgh drafted interior offensive lineman Spencer Anderson out of Maryland in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL draft. The team also signed Isaac Seumalo and Nate Herbig in free agency.
