Actress Bianca Wallace has shared a rare insight into her relationship with Fantastic Four actor Ioan Gruffudd, as she shared the sweet way he supported her through her MS diagnosis.
Since her diagnosis, Bianca has been open about her struggles with MS which include having spinal surgery five years ago as fighting symptoms including tiredness, vision problems and problems with walking or balance.
Bianca, who has starred and worked on films including Baz Luhermann's Elvis, went public with her romance with the Welsh actor in October 2021. Ioan is currently facing a difficult and rocky battle with ex-wife Alice Evans, as the pair fight for custody of their two children.
Speaking in a column for The Telegraph this week, Bianca revealed she gave Ioan, whom she nicknames 'Yo' a "get out of jail free" card when openly speaking about her struggles with MS.
She explained: "Yo (Ioan) didn’t hesitate for a second, listing all of the reasons he was in love with me and why he was here to stay, and that no MS diagnosis or scary future would deter him."
Commenting on her illness, she added: "When things are hard I sob to Yo about not feeling strong enough to face what is ahead of me, alongside the guilt I feel that he has entered into such a complicated journey."
Aussie actress Bianca and Welsh actor Ioan went public with their romance in October 2021, with Ioan filing for divorce from his wife of 14 years Alice with official documents saying the pair split on New Year's Day.
He cited the reasons for the split as "irreconcilable differences", with the pair filing officially for divorce in March 2022 and Ioan obtaining a restraining order against his ex-wife.
The Welsh actor and fellow actress Alice, 54, first met on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000 and they married seven years later in Mexico.
The former couple share two daughters; Ella, 12, and eight-year-old Elise, and were married for 13 years before Ioan announced in January 2021 that they had separated.
He filed for divorce two months later before things turned sour between the two. The pair have been embattled in legal proceedings with Ioan filing for a restraining order against his ex-wife in addition to their custody battle over their two children.
