A suspected cannabis farm has been uncovered by police following a search at a property in Sunderland.
Officers from Northumbria Police received information that an address on St Leonard Street, in Hendon, Sunderland, was being used as a suspected cannabis farm on Tuesday.
They attended the scene and searched the property. An investigation has since been launched by officers.

Officers found a numbers of items within the property which they believe to be connected to the supply of the illegal drug. ChronicleLive understands that officers were back at the home on Wednesday.
Northumbria Police confirmed that the property is now being made safe and the equipment found at the address has since been seized.
Photographs from the scene on St Leonard Street today show a property has been boarded up and has been secured.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Yesterday, (Tuesday), police received information that an address on St Leonard Street, in Hendon, Sunderland, was being used as a suspected cannabis farm.
“Officers attended the address and found a number of items within the property that connected to the supply of the illegal drug.
"The address is now being made safe and the equipment seized. Enquiries are ongoing.”
