Inverness man missing overnight after failing to show up for work found safe and well

Police are appealing for help to trace an Inverness man who vanished overnight after failing to show up for work.

Martin MacLean was last seen at a property in the Dan Corbett Gardens area of the city at around 11am on Sunday, May 22.

The 51-year-old’s disappearance has sparked concern and he has been formally reported as missing to police.

He is described as being around 5ft 8in tall, of a slim build and with very short, receding fair hair.

Martin was last seen wearing green combat trousers and a long sleeved back zip top.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are asking for the help of the public to trace a 51-year-old man reported missing from the Merkinch area of Inverness.

"Martin MacLean was last seen around 11am on Sunday, 22 May, at a property in the Dan Corbett Gardens area and was due to go to work but did not attend.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2041 of Sunday, 22 May, 2022, or speak with any police officer.”
