Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe was confronted and shoved by an intruder while in the dugout during Saturday's Premier League clash against Leeds United.
TV footage shows the moment a member of the crowd at Leeds' Elland Road having made their way into the technical area to pay a visit to the away manager, with the person approaching Howe and pushing him.
Staff and security leaped into action to remove the man from the scene, escorting him from the pitch and down the tunnel.
The flashpoint came in the closing stages of a thrilling 2-2 draw which started the Premier League weekend.
Newcastle were waiting to take a dangerous free-kick on the edge of the box after Junior Firpo was dismissed for a second yellow. Kieran Trippier stood over the free-kick, before the fervent crowd noticed the disturbance on the touchline.
It was a dramatic conclusion to a match filled with incident, which saw Leeds take the lead after just seven minutes via Luke Ayling. The hosts were then given a golden chance to double their lead when Joelinton fouled Firpo in the area to concede a penalty, but Patrick Bamford's poor spot kick was saved by Nick Pope.
Newcastle were awarded a penalty of their own less than two minutes later, and Callum Wilson made it count to score his 16th league goal this season.
In the second half, Wilson slotted another penalty into the net after Firpo handled the ball in the box. To level the scores, Leeds' Rasmus Kristensen scored when his shot was deflected off Kieran Trippier into the bottom corner of Pope's goal. Firpo was then given his marching orders in stoppage time, before the incident involving Howe and a supporter.
