An internet prankster's attempt at a live-streamed joke backfired spectacularly as he was "trolling" Florida police about having a warrant, only for officers to confirm he actually did and arrest him on the spot.

MikeSmallsJr, a Kick streamer with over 20,000 followers, has built a reputation for attention-grabbing stunts, including livestreaming in the middle of a hurricane.

On January 21, he live-streamed himself confronting a former manager at a Burger King in Tampa, Florida, according to Dexerto. The manager called the police after the heated exchange, prompting Smalls to jokingly claim, "Don't call the cops, I got a warrant."

When officers arrived, Smalls assured them his comment was a joke, but after checking records, they discovered he had an outstanding warrant from October for misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer without violence and disrupting a school campus.

The prank quickly turned real as he was arrested during the live stream, which was abruptly shut off.

Smalls was released from custody after posting a cash bond for the charges. Fans are now eagerly awaiting an explanation for the October incident that led to the warrant.

Despite concerns from viewers, his Kick channel remains active, allowing him to continue streaming.
