Internet Mocks Trump After He Says Tesla Vandals Won't Be Pardoned: 'What About These Guys?'

Social media users have taken to online platforms to mock President Donald Trump for saying that those who vandalize Teslas won't be pardoned after he granted clemency to 1,500 criminal defendants facing charges related to the January 6 Capitol riots.

The President delivered remarks with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at the White House on Friday, stating that Tesla vandals were "domestic terrorists."

"These people are going to be caught and they're going to be prosecuted. And from what they tell me, I see this just by watching your programs and reading the news, but from what they tell me, they could get 20 years in jail," said Trump. "And they'll get it, I'll tell you, there's gonna be no leniency and no pardons, I can tell you that right now."

Billionaire Trump ally Elon Musk then posted the clip on X.

"The worst bad guys are the ones who are financing the Tesla terror campaign," he captioned the video.

Social media users quickly took to the replies of the post to mock the 47th President for who he chose to deliver pardons to.

"What about these guys? They okay?" said a user, posting a picture of the January 6 Capitol riots.

"I hope Tesla goes out of business and the banks call in their loans off your collateral," said another.

"So he pardons killers and rioters from Jan 6th but touch a Tesla and you look at 20 years hard time........ that is the pathetic state of the US under Trump fantasy," wrote a third.

"Storm the Capitol & attack American democracy = Instant pardon. Attack Tesla = 20 years in a foreign torture prison. That's all you need to know about Trump's priorities," said a fourth.

Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, on the same day to levy threats of foreign incarceration against Tesla vandals.

"I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla," Trump wrote.

"Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!" the president added.
