Interim Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla on Marcus Smart’s evolving role with Boston

Boston Celtics interim head coach Joe Mazzulla took time Wednesday afternoon to discuss the final preseason tilt of the Celtics’ four-game slate. Mazzulla also spoke about veteran point guard Marcus Smart’s evolving role in the team’s offense, and the Flower Mound native’s pride in his floor general skills.

The Celtics coach also spoke about joining the players to take part in the ball club’s drills and scrimmages as the head coach after practice yesterday as the team tried to do their best to prepare for the season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

The Celtics will play their final preseason contest in Montreal, Canada as part of the “NBA Canada” series against the Toronto Raptors on Friday evening.
