Interactive map shows Nottingham's 16 Covid hotspots 2 weeks after Freedom Day

The latest government data shows the 16 Covid hotspots in Nottingham two weeks on from 'freedom day'.

It's been more than a fortnight since all restrictions in England were lifted and limits on social contact ended, as per the government's roadmap out of lockdown.

And while rates have been falling across Nottinghamshire and the rest of the country in recent days, some areas of the county are reporting higher infection rates than others.

In fact, 16 neighbourhoods have a rate of above 500 per 100,000 people which is far above the national average currently.

The area with the highest rate in Nottinghamshire is Gamston and Holme Pierrepoint as of the seven days leading to August 1. The Rushcliffe area recorded a rate of 675.8 due to 59 new cases in the past seven days.

Areas from across the city, Rushcliffe, Mansfield and Newark all have areas with high rates.

Here is a rundown of all the areas with the highest rates and how many cases have been reported in the past seven days:

  • Bestwood Village - 578.4 (35 cases)
  • Old Basford 562.6 (46 cases)
  • Bilborough North 655.7 (45 cases)
  • Bilborough South - 609.2 (37 cases)
  • Lenton and Dunkirk 613.9 (67 cases)
  • St Ann's East 541.1 (41 cases)
  • Gamston and Holme Pierrepoint 675.8 (59 cases)
  • Edwalton 606.8 (48 cases)
  • Clifton West 641.8 (40 cases)
  • Southwell 528 (39 cases)
  • Newark South East 601.2 (59 cases)
  • Newark South West 539.4 (45 cases)
  • King's Walk, Berry Hill and Oakham 593 (73 cases)
  • Mansfield Town Centre and Broomhill 576.3 (61 cases)
  • Manton, Clumber and Elkesley 514 (33 cases)
  • Lady Bay 550.9 (47 cases)
