Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has responded to comments made by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds are due to face the Serie A giants in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie this week.
Liverpool were drawn against Inter in December, and Klopp reacted to the draw by listing the threats that the Italian club have at their disposal.
“Obviously [Alexis] Sanchez and [Edin] Dzeko we know well – and Lautaro Martinez is one of the most exciting strikers in the world, probably,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com .
“It’s a proper Champions League tie, so all good and I am absolutely looking forward to it.”

With the clash between Liverpool and Inter nearing, those quotes by Klopp have been put to Martinez and he has responded by praising the Reds manager.
“I’m happy to hear him say that, and I say thank you,” Martinez told Amazon Prime, via Sempre Inter .
“Klopp is a great coach,” Martinez added.
“He will certainly prepare his team well for this match. We have to do well, hurt them, and move forward.”
Looking ahead to facing Liverpool, Martinez outlined the threat that the Reds will pose to Inter.
Martinez also claimed that the match against Liverpool will be ‘one of the most important’ in his career.
“They have many top players, they have quality,” said Martinez.
“We have to prepare well for the match and work on the possession phase, because it will be important.”
He added: “They attack with a lot of men forward, they play with very fast forwards, we will have to be careful.”
“It’s a knockout round in a very important competition. So it will certainly be one of my most important matches in an Inter shirt.”
