The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in rebuild mode, and start that rebuild with one of the most dominant defensive lineman in college football in Pitt interior defensive lineman Calijah Kancey.
Kancey was on par with Pitt alum Aaron Donald with his production over the last two season with fourteen sacks. His athletic profile tested well against Donald, and while he does not possess the same size as an elite defensive lineman, he still projects will to the next level with his production.
With elite speed, get off, motor, and first step Kancey projects well on passing downs for the Buccaneers defensive line. His size may ultimately limit him from being an every down producer for the Buccaneers, but the impacts he makes in the pass rush is more than enough to justify the pick here. NFC South quarterbacks need to be on the look out for this extremely talented defensive line.
