Pep Guardiola will have been ecstatic to see Jack Grealish open the scoring in the Manchester derby just three minutes after coming off the bench.
The 27-year-old headed home from close range following a brilliant run and chipped cross by Kevin De Bruyne. City had been turning the screw since the break, with the Belgian starting to pop up in spaces previously guarded by the likes of Casemiro and Fred during the first 45 minutes.
Guardiola will feel especially vindicated by the goal with the City boss introducing Grealish minutes earlier, as he came on for fellow Englishman Phil Foden. Fans took to Twitter to echo the Spaniard's delight.
