Instant analysis of Ravens selecting CB Damarion Williams with No. 141 overall pick in 2022 NFL draft

The Baltimore Ravens had cornerback as a big need entering the 2022 NFL draft. After taking Alabama cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis with the No. 119 overall pick, Baltimore doubled down at the position and selected Houston cornerback Damarion Williams at No. 141 overall.

Williams played at many different positions in college, but projects more as a slot cornerback at the NFL level who also has a bit of safety versatility. He totaled 163 total tackles to go along with three interceptions during his time with the Cougars, and showing his competitive toughness, ability to be sticky in coverage, participate in the run game.

Despite being a bit undersized at 5-foot-10, he profiles well as a potential replacement for former Ravens slot cornerback Tavon Young. He now joins a positional group that also includes Armour-Davis as well as veterans he can learn from in Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters.
