The Baltimore Ravens picked up their 23rd-straight preseason win on Saturday night with a 17-15 victory over the Washington Commanders. It ended up coming down to the wire, but Baltimore found a way to come out victorious, just like in their previous 22 preseason games.
The Ravens sat the majority of their starters in the game, but a few got suit up for a few plays. Quarterback Tyler Huntley started the contest, but it was Anthony Brown who got the majority of the reps as the main signal caller, completing 15-of-19 passes for 256 yards and one touchdown, showing touch on many of his throws.
Another star on the offensive side of the ball was wide receiver Demarcus Robinson, who was signed by the team on Tuesday. He had four receptions for 135 yards, including a 67-yard score, showing his game breaking ability. Wide receiver Binjimen Victor also had a good game, finishing with four catches for 74 yards.
On defense, Baltimore struggled to bring the quarterback down, missing out on multiple would-be sacks. However, that didn’t stop the defense from bringing down Washington quarterback Sam Howell five times, including 2.5 sacks by inside linebacker Kristin Welch. Inside linebacker Josh Ross, safety Ar’Darius Washington and defensive lineman Isaiah Mack also impressed.
The Ravens now have to trim their roster down to 53 players by Tuesday, August 31st. The team will have some tough decisions to make, with talent all over their team.
