The Baltimore Ravens went into Pittsburgh and defeated the Steelers by the final score of 16-14 in Week 14 of the 2022 season. It was a hard-fought, grind-it-out type game, but Baltimore came out with a win in a very important divisional matchup.
Baltimore started quarterback Tyler Huntley in the place of injured quarterback Lamar Jackson, with the former Utah star going 8-of-12 for 88 yards passing. However, he left the game with a concussion in the second half, prompting undrafted rookie Anthony Brown to finish the game at quarterback, completing 3-of-5 passes for 16 yards.
The Ravens rode their ground game to victory, as Pittsburgh’s top-10 rushing defense had no answers for running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards. Dobbins rushed 15 times for 120 yards and a touchdown in his first game back from injury, while Gus Edwards added 13 carries for 66 yards himself.
On defense, inside linebackers Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen each had an interception on Steelers’ quarterback Mitch Trubisky, with safety Marcus Williams also getting in on the action in his first game back. Baltimore accumulated two sacks, and defensive lineman Calais Campbell also came up clutch with a blocked field goal in a two-point win.
With the win, the Ravens move their record to 9-4 and their record in the AFC North to 3-0. Up next is a Week 15 divisional showdown with the Cleveland Browns, which will take place on Saturday afternoon.
