Instant analysis of Eagles’ shocking 20-14 upset loss to Jets at MetLife Stadium

The Eagles are no longer the NFL’s only remaining undefeated team after a shocking 20-14 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Philadelphia’s All-Pro quarterback Jalen Hurts was 28 of 45 passing, for 281 yards, one passing touchdown, and three costly interceptions.

Hurts finished with eight carries for 47 yards and one touchdown, while D’Andre Swift combined for 12 carries and 30 yards rushing.

The Eagles had multiple players leave with injuries, and with a monster matchup against the Dolphins looming, here’s an instant analysis of the shocking loss.

The Eagles found themselves in a brutal contest against the New York Jets, and the Johnson injury will be something to watch going forward with the Dolphins heading to town.

Jack Driscoll allowed a sack in the first half in relief of Johnson and two overall.

No one player can replicate Lane Johnson’s presence at right tackle, but the versatile veteran allowed two late sacks, including one that turned into a late Jalen Hurts interception.

Jalen Hurts had 6 interceptions all of last season.

Regardless of whose fault it is , Hurts has already has 7 interceptions this year through six weeks.

The owner of a new 5-year, $255 million contract extension, Hurts will now be subjected to the same scrutiny that Josh Allen, Dak Prescott and others face after difficult losses and bad performances.

Philadelphia was already without Darius Slay, Justin Evans, and Avonte Maddox before losing three more defensive backs during Sunday’s loss.

— S Reed Blankenship (ribs) is out.
— CB Eli Ricks (knee) is out.
— CB Bradley Roby (shoulder) is questionable.

With Slay out, Garrett Wilson had eight catches for 90 yards.
