Instagram star Mrs Hinch reveals she DOESN'T clean every day as she opens up in This Morning interview

Instagram sensation Mrs Hinch made the surprising revelation that she “doesn’t clean every day” during an interview with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning.

The 28-year-old, real name Sophie Hinchliffe, has built up a loyal following of fans by sharing cleaning tips and product recommendations on her Instagram account.

Appearing on the ITV magazine show today, she told the presenters that she takes a more relaxed approach to housework than her social media presence might suggest.

“I don’t even clean every day. I think people think I’m at home constantly cleaning,” she told Willoughby, when asked how the impending arrival of her first child would change her schedule.

“I like to do my little Hinch half hours, my little freshen-up Fridays, and there might be some days where I sit there and go, ‘I’m not even gonna touch a cloth today!’

“I’m so laid back about it. My bed is not made this morning and I’m not worried about it.

“For me, it’s a case of just going with the flow,” she concluded.

I feel I need to say this ... My Hinchers will remember this shoot day very well , you were all with me on my stories the evening before , on my way there , behind the scenes and on my way home , supporting me. I know I’ve said this so many times and I’m sorry if I sound like a broken record but without you all I wouldn’t have even considered doing a shoot like this. My family and friends know me inside out and they know how much my Hinchers have helped me and we’re ALL so grateful! 🙏🏼 Now this instagram “fame” as some call it , is not what I ever expected to gain from this account. Yes it’s true what you’ll read today in the you magazine interview .. I have turned down many TV deals and public appearances and this is because my biggest fear is losing my normal life (Tiny sewing machines n’all) But what I am doing is trying to grow myself and grow others on this Hinch journey until “hinching” no longer needs Mrs Hinch .. and I think I’ll know when that time comes in my own heart ❤️ So please .. to anyone reading this right now I hope you can take one very strong message from my interview today ... do not body shame anybody! Never judge a book by its cover! Everyone’s cover is their own and that is what’s so amazing! In fact I can’t even believe I’m on an actual cover 😂 But Please my Hinchers .. never want someone else’s life or even their image .. because you’ll live your happiest life with the most simplest of things .. and if you look close enough you probably already have those things right under your nose. Trust me I know ..I’ve been there! But I’ll stop typing now and leave the you mag and my book to tell you the rest ... All the best my Hinchers ❤️ Soph ❤️ AKA Mrs Hinch xxx #imahincher

The social media star also opened up about how cleaning had helped her tackle anxiety, explaining: “There’s no worse feeling than when you’re sat there and you get that heat in your chest and you start worrying, panicking for no reason, you don’t even know why but you can’t get rid of it.

“So for me, I’ll get up, I might grab my mop or my hoover and I’ll get going. When you feel [at] your most weakest you’re still achieving something.”

Hinchliffe’s This Morning appearance was met with praise on social media, as viewers commended her “positive” outlook.

“You smashed your interview on @thismorning you were soo nervous but you’re such a natural!!!” one Twitter user wrote. “Can’t wait to see what successes you accomplish in the future.”

“Ahh I do love Mrs Hinch, she’s so positive,” another added.

“Mrs Hinch is a lovely person inside and out,” a third comment read.

Hinchliffe’s book Hinch Yourself Happy: All The Best Cleaning Tips To Shine Your Sink and Soothe Your Soul is released tomorrow, but has already become an Amazon bestseller.
