Gooey, the Instagram favourite bakery, is setting up a brand new ‘festive cafe’ at Selfridges for the Christmas period. It’ll be popping up at the branch of the upscale store in the Trafford Centre from November 1.
The bakery, which regularly has queues around the block and operates out of the Ducie Street Warehouse, and via its own cafe on High Street in the Northern Quarter, is known for serving up warm cookies and brioche donuts.
It will be cooking up a host of new bakes for the new spot at Selfridges, including a Smore’s Cookie Pie, The Snowman Choux, Chocolate Orange Layered Cake and the Gooey’s Christmas Millionaire Twist. As well as sweet things, they will be offering barista coffees, soft drinks and boozy hot chocolate too.

You’ll be able to eat in, or take out from the new pop-up, just as you can at the High Street and Ducie Street Warehouse outlets.
Not only that, but twice a week - on a Thursday and Friday in December - you’ll be able to have a Gooey afternoon tea session with Santa, and breakfast every Saturday and Sunday too.
The Selfridges Christmas Cafe by Gooey will open in Selfridges Trafford from Tuesday November 1. You can book the Santa afternoon tea sessions via the Selfridges website.
