One of the lesser known streaming deals is the complimentary Peacock Premium plan that comes with an Instacart Plus membership. Instacart teamed up with NBCUniversal to offer the food delivery app's U.S.-based Instacart Plus members a free subscription to Peacock.
The cost of Instacart's premium service, Instacart+, is $9.99 per month or $99 a year and includes unlimited $0 delivery on orders over $10 (for grocery and retail) or over $25 (for restaurants). Meanwhile, Peacock Premium costs $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. So this perk means major savings for Instacart users who watch Peacock.

How to get Peacock for free with Instacart Plus
This streaming deal is available to all U.S. customers. To get it, simply sign up for Instacart Plus. Once you've joined, you can head to your account page and activate your free Peacock Premium subscription from there.
Note that this offer only applies to the Peacock Premium plan. You won't be able to upgrade to Peacock's ad-free Premium Plus plan through Instacart. It also only applies to new Peacock Premium subscriptions. So, if you already have a subscription, you'll need to cancel that one. Then, activate a new subscription through Instacart.
Instacart Plus benefits
While a free Peacock Premium subscription is a pretty sweet perk on its own, there's more to Instacart Plus than saving money on streaming.
The main perk the delivery app offers members is $0 delivery fees. For non-members, delivery fees usually add $3.99 or more to each order.
Instacart Plus members also pay lower service fees. How much lower? That part is unclear. For non-members, service fees appear to range anywhere between 5% and 10% of the order subtotal. As a member, your service fees will also vary, but they will be lower than what non-members pay.
Another noteworthy perk: you can share your Instacart Plus membership. The app allows you to add family members to your account so they can enjoy all your perks and discounts, too.
Is Instacart Plus worth it?
Whether or not the $99 annual fee for Instacart Plus is worth it for you depends on how you use it. To help you decide if your savings would outweigh the membership fee, here is a rough breakdown of how much you save on the key perks:
- $79.99 per year on Peacock Premium.
- About $3.99 per order saved on delivery fees. Though, actual delivery fees for non-members vary depending on multiple factors.
- Unknown savings on service fees. Instacart isn’t very transparent about how service fees are calculated, let alone how much lower they are for members. So all you know is that you’re paying less on this line item than a non-member.
Basically, if you use your Peacock Premium subscription and make at least five Instacart orders per year, an Instacart Plus membership pays for itself.
If you don't use Peacock Premium, you'd likely need to order through Instacart at least three times a month for a membership to make sense.
