An inspirational new video by a Derry community group is encouraging men in the city to open up and talk about their mental health struggles.
The Old Library Trust in the Creggan area recently held "Addiction: An Honest Conversation" event last month.
The event was organised with a number of high-profile sports stars taking part and opening up about their own addictions, including Conor McDermott from Cliftonville Football Club, Former Liverpool youth star Sean Friars and All-Ireland winner Oisin McConville.
All three shared their own personal stories in front of gathered guests and how they overcame their own demons to help inspire others.
Conor and Oisin have previously opened up on the gambling addictions that gripped their lives, while ex-Liverpool Academy defender Sean has battled with alcoholism and addiction to prescription drugs and gambling.
Speaking following the conclusion of the week last month, Old Library Trust Programme Coordinator Julles White said: "We are delighted to see this event has been so well received.
"We want to say a huge thank you to Oisin, Sean and Conor for sharing their stories of addiction to recovery so openly and honestly and leaving a lasting impression of a powerful account of addiction."
Derry City and Strabane District Mayor Graham Warke said the conversation would help others open up about their own struggles.
He added: "Five years ago you wouldn't have heard men talking about stuff like this. It's a real problem out there and it's up to all of us to do something about it."
