Well, despite Dave Grohl assuring fans he reeeeally loves his wife Jordyn Blum, the fact he casually fathered a baby outside his marriage means the couple probably isn’t in the best place. And now, we finally know what Blum thinks about the secret baby thing. Spoiler alert: she’s not a fan.
Last week, the Foo Fighters frontman dropped the surprise announcement on Instagram in what looked like a classic influencer apology post. In it, he said he was doing everything to “regain the trust” of his wife and children. Maybe we shouldn’t go fathering any more secret babies in the future, okay Dave??
A source close to Blum told People she’s known “for a while” about Grohl’s bonus baby.
“She was shocked when she found out about the baby. Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her,” another of Blum’s friends said.
“Dave’s flirty behaviour has been a hurdle in the marriage. It’s been hurtful to Jordyn.”
Page Six also did some detective work, scouring through photos of Grohl and Blum prior to the announcement to see if anything looked suss. In early August, the pair were seen walking around Los Angeles while looking tense — and Blum wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.
Problems have apparently been rife in their marriage long before Grohl’s baby bombshell, with Daily Mail claiming he was pissed about a “flirty” relationship she had with her tennis coach Christopher Crabb in the months prior.
Pot, meet kettle!
“Dave Grohl has been jealous for ages about Jordyn’s hot tennis coach,” an insider claimed.
“They’ve had arguments about him, and Dave thinks they’ve flirted. Jordyn has told him he’s crazy to even think that. But Dave has persisted.”
Blum gets coached by Crabb “at least three times a week” near their family home, but unlike Grohl, she hasn’t been hiding a secret baby.
“Jordyn now believes that Dave has been trying to detract from his own indiscretions by accusing her,” the source claimed.
At this stage, we still don’t know who Grohl’s baby mama is, though there’s already been false claims. The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reckons the mystery woman could be Australian, because the Foo Fighters were playing shows in Australia nine months ago.
