One thing we can all agree upon is that Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz were THE celebrity IT couple.
They were as cool as a cucumber. Their pap pics made our hearts sing. They got engaged last year. They even worked together on a film and have another one coming.
So their breakup was shocking, to say the least.
But now, insiders have revealed the reason why they called it time on their relationship so gather round and let’s sip the tea.
Why did Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz breakup?
A sneaky insider told PEOPLE that the couple broke up last weekend, claiming that: “They haven’t been on the same page and grew apart.”
Ah, the age old excuse, right?
They were last spotted together on October 6 in New York City’s Red Hook neighbourhood when they went to see a production of a play that starred Blink Twice co-star Levon Hawke.
As recently as August, they were also fawning over each other in interviews.
“Art is our love language,” Kravitz told PEOPLE at Blink Twice’s premiere when asked about working with Tatum again in the future. “I think it’s what we love, and we love talking about it, and experiencing it, and supporting each other.”
“This is what I’ll say about creating with someone that you are with or love: I suggest it,” Tatum told PEOPLE in July. “If you are thinking about having a kid or if you’re thinking about getting married, go find the hardest possible creative project with your partner.”
He added at the time, “When you can look across the room or the set and know that you have the best person that is next to you trying to solve problems, and you’re really looking to them for answers just as equally as trying to solve them yourself, that is unbelievable.”
In August, Kravitz shut down her father’s comments that she and Tatum were getting hitched next year.
“It’s literally something we’ve said in passing,” she told Esquire. “Like, maybe I said, ‘Next year would be cool’.”
However, breaking rumours soon started circling when Kravitz was spotted without her engagement ring, including on a recent meet-up with Big Little Lies co-star Shailene Woodley.
