A new multi-million-pound leisure development has opened in Waterloo.
The Lake House sits alongside the leisure facilities at Sefton Council’s Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre. It has launched a new cafe and restaurant, The Lake Kitchen.
The venue also features four conference and events spaces and 14 refurbished rooms. While contributing to the area’s economy, led by Sefton Hospitality Operations Ltd (SHOL) and its team of hospitality specialists, the venue has also created 70 jobs within the local community.

The cafe and restaurant is led by head chef Matt Cox and general manager Vicki Hanlon. The venue offers an array of food and drink offerings, whether people are looking for a meal with family or a coffee, cake and a catch-up with friends. The venue aims to be a destination to eat, drink, stay and play for those across the region and beyond.
Kellie Rixon MBE FIH, SHOL’s Chair, said: “The Lake House is a destination for everyone to enjoy, from those in the heart of the local community to those visiting from further afield and it’s great to finally be able to welcome people in and show them what we have been working so hard on for so long. It’s brilliant to see everything come together and with regeneration at the forefront of this project, it’s time that Waterloo and Sefton’s fantastic coastline got the recognition it deserves and is put on the map as a place to be.”
The Lake House is open from 11am - 9pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am - 9.30pm Friday and Saturday every week.
