Inside Tottenham Champions League celebrations as Son Heung-min soaked and injured star included

The curtain has finally come down on another rollercoaster season at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With their previous two campaigns ending in disappointment after missing out on a top-four place, Antonio Conte and his Spurs team will be competing in the Champions League once again after securing fourth on the final day at Norwich City.

Just needing to avoid defeat at Carrow Road to pip Arsenal to the last remaining spot at Europe's top table, it was rather straightforward for the Lilywhites as they ran riot in Norfolk with a 5-0 victory. As well as celebrating a return to the Champions League for the first time since 2019/20, there was extra reason to celebrate as Son Heung-min clinched the Premier League Golden Boot with a double against the Canaries to finish level with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.

Sparking wild scenes in the away end when he hit his 22nd and 23rd league goals of the season, it was also rather eventful in the away dressing room after the game. Here we take a look behind the scenes at Tottenham's celebrations on a momentous day for the club.

Lucas' celebration

Lucas Moura does like to celebrate a goal in front of the travelling Tottenham fans. Jumping on top of a steward back in January following their late heroics at Leicester City, the Brazilian did exactly the same at Carrow Road on Sunday after Son's strike.

With the team in a huddle around the South Korean, the ex-PSG broke free and pushed himself up to sit on the shoulders of one unsuspecting steward. Having seen his teammate's rather unusual celebration, Emerson Royal tried exactly the same but couldn't quite get push himself high enough to sit on the shoulders of the steward a couple of yards away.

Post-match celebrations

Seconds after their Champions League place was confirmed, the Tottenham players and coaching staff made their way over to the away faithful, who were in full voice throughout the 90 minutes at Norwich's home. While the party had started long before that following Dejan Kulusevski's opener that set them on their way, the volume increased a couple of notches when Conte walked towards the far corner of the pitch.

Applauding the fans as they chanted his name, the Italian showed his class by pointing towards his players and signalling the huge role they played in securing fourth when many people had written them off a few months previous. Son also made his way over in front of the fans and he was given a massive applause for his Golden Boot success.

Son's soaking

Fresh from securing his Golden Boot gong, Son was up in front of his fellow teammates and the coaching staff as he did a speech in the dressing room at Carrow Road. It was captured on camera by Tottenham's media team, with his words seen by many on social media on Sunday evening.

He said: "Thank you so much for this unbelievable season. Let's move on next season, big Champions League. Let's get a big result."

Given a huge round of applause with everyone jumping about, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was first to him before Pierluigi Gollini quickly came over and soaked Son with the contents of his water bottle. The player really did get a soaking as Brandon Austin was also spotted squirting water at him and so was one of the backroom staff.

After all the celebrations had died down and Son had picked up his award, he posed for pictures with a number of his teammates. Dane Scarlett dubbed his fellow attacker "the main man" on Instagram as he uploaded a photo sat next to Spurs' No.7 with the trophy, while former Spurs man Dele Alli was also quick to congratulate his good friend.

Music selection

There was only ever going to be one choice when it came to the music selection after securing a place in Europe's top competition. It was, of course, the Champions League anthem.

Gollini uploaded a short video to his Instagram story of the scene in the dressing room as he stood with Kulusevski as the music blared out. Harvey White could be seen pumping his fist in the air, with Davinson Sanchez screaming in delight.

Reguilon in attendance

Conte has had to do with limited numbers over the past few weeks due to a number of his players carrying injuries. Cristian Romero recently joined the casualty list after picking up an issue at Liverpool, joining Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga, Sergio Reguilon and Matt Doherty on the sidelines at present.

Well, Reguilon didn't miss out on the post-match celebrations in the changing room as he could be seen in the middle of all his teammates. The Spaniard was also spotted having his picture taken with Son not long after the full-time whistle.
