Inside the wedding of billionaire Zara heiress Marta Ortega

Christmas wedding season isn't here in all its glory yet, but the most elaborate winter nuptials of 2018 might have already taken place thanks to Zara heiress Marta Ortega and her beau Carlos Toretta, a modeling agent.

The couple married in an "intimate" ceremony, which was then followed up with two large and elaborate parties worthy of a billionaire's daughter.

The 34-year-old's father might be Zara founder Amancio Ortega (the fifth richest man in the world), but his daughter didn't opt to wear any fast fashion on her own big day.

Instead, she donned a custom blush gown which was designed by Valentino's Pierpaolo Piccioli, who flew in by private jet to deliver it in person.

But, as befits the senior creative consultant at Zara Women, this wasn't her only outfit. Much like Beyoncé in concert, Ortega had more outfit changes to come. She followed up her gown with a Valentino tuxedo-inspired suit, a pink bow dress perfect for dancing, and the piece-de-resistance, a sequined, backless dress for the evening.

The party started at the Royal Yacht Club in A Coruna, a city in Galicia. But the real excitement happened at night, when Norah Jones, Jamie Cullum, and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin sang. Martin played "Yellow" for the couple's first dance. The singers weren't the only A-list guests - Chufy, Athina, and Jessica Springsteen were also rumored to be in attendance, making it Spain's socialite event of the season.

No word yet on where the couple will be honeymooning, but you can bet your bottom dollar there'll be an equally lavish trip on the cards.
