Last month, a new nail salon opened up in Salford Quays. There are more nail salons than you can shake a stick at in Manchester, but this one has a special VIP edge.
For years, M1 Nails has been a firm favourite with celebrities. M1 nails is much loved by celebrities and well-known personalities such as Gemma Collins, Leigh Anne Pinnock, and Perrie Edwards from Little Mix, alongside the stars of Hollyoaks and Love Island - so there's a good chance you could recognise a face or two when you pop in to have your nails done.
The Salford Quays location has opened following the success of the brand's Liverpool and Manchester Shudehill nail salons. But the clientele aren't the only celeb offering at the salon - as some of its staff are also TV stars.

BBC viewers may recognise some of the faces behind the manicure tables as the 'Nail Bar Boys'. The original BBC3 documentary featured six larger than life British Vietnamese lads in Liverpool painting nails for a living in Liverpool's L1 Nail Salon - though if you're lucky, one of the lads might paint your nails at M1 Media City.
M1 Nails has refined a range of services from manicures to gel shellac and their popular acrylic full sets for their new store. With prices from £25 for a manicure or gel shellac or £28 for the Acrylic full set in a wide range of designs, the M1 Nails team provide a full-scale nail service for all their customers.
I went along to M1 Nails MediaCity for a full set of acrylics and gel on my toes before a week away in the Maldives, and I was very impressed by the service. The staff were so efficient, and did their absolute best to accommodate as many walk-ins as possible.
The staff are also really friendly, and very funny. I had a proper laugh in there - which is always a good thing when you're sat opposite someone for a good hour or two.
I showed my nail tech a picture of what I wanted, and he recreated it perfectly. I went for a light pink chrome, and the outcome was superb.
After a week of hardcore water sports abroad, my nails still look absolutely perfect. I got several compliments on my nails while on my trip away, and some of the group were genuinely astonished to see how well they'd lasted despite our hectic activity schedule.
Cong Bruce, Nail Bar Boys says: “We are excited to finally launch our third location here at Quayside. The area has been on our radar for a while now. With our launch just in time for the holiday season, we look forward to providing a great service for the visitors and residents alike in MediaCity.”
Kelly Hurst, Quayside Centre Manager added: “M1 Nails is a fantastic addition to the offering at Quayside and we’re delighted the M1 team earmarked MediaCity for their third nail salon. This is exactly the kind of nail salon our visitors want to experience.”
