The arrival of Benjamin Sesko's agent on Tyneside has caused quite the stir on social media. Newcastle United supporters tracked a plane from Salzburg that landed at Newcastle Airport earlier this week, before the Slovenian's agent posted a story on their Instagram page and later grabbing a bite to eat at Gino D'Acampo's Italian restaurant on the Quayside.
The Toon Army have been anxiously waiting for news on attacking reinforcements after a move for Hugo Ekitike broke down last week, with Eddie Howe himself admitting the club needed more creativity in the final third after a pre-season defeat against Mainz 05. They've been linked with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Moussa Diaby and Jack Harrison throughout the window, with Alexander Isak the latest name on a long list of potential targets.
However, with Sesko's name being thrown into the mix, it gives a great insight into potential future avenues the club will explore. Red Bull Salzburg has produced some of the best talent in the modern game.

Sadio Mane, Erling Haaland, Patson Daka, Dominik Szobozlai and Naby Keita are just some of the names to have graced the field at the Red Bull Arena before leaving for greater things across Europe. The club's ability to sell their best talent and then reinvest into the future is a blueprint that should certainly be admired - with their recent Champions League campaign further evidence they're on the right track.
The Red Bull Academy hosts 200 players from seven countries, and is supported by 120 staff, leaving nothing to chance. The club won their ninth consecutive Austrian title last term and is going from strength to strength in Europe.
The likes of RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are two of the major beneficiaries in recent season's from the conveyor belt of talent at the Austrian club, whilst Leeds United have tapped into that this summer with the signings of Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen.
Although Salzburg have not yet spoken about what the future holds for Sesko this summer, it's a good sign to see Newcastle taking note of one of the best talent factories in European football at the moment. The club's performance in European football will act as a further pull for potential players and one that Newcastle look to emulate, if not overtake.
The Magpies' new owners have already spoken about their aspirations of restoring the club to its former glory and with that, will come investment into the academy.
Newcastle aren't at the stage where their scouting set-up will rival the likes of RB Salzburg, but with the arrival of Dan Ashworth and Darren Eales, it's only a matter of time before they're unearthing their own talents via the Magpies academy. For now, they're certainly looking in the right place to invest into the future.
