Inside the new £1m indoor playpark near Stockport - with trampolines, soft play and party rooms

A new indoor activity park with trampolines, soft play, climbing walls and stylish cafe is about to open in Handforth - just in time for the half term school holidays. Bosses of Oxygen Wilmslow have lavished £1m on the centre which will offer activities for all the family from toddlers to teens.

There are trampolines, a three-storey soft play area, climbing walls, and an interactive games area. There's also a giant airbag with a camera which will beam out footage of the flips, tricks and dives that jumpers make during their sessions.

There is a huge new café on a mezzanine platform boasting views across the play park, offering a full range of food and drink as well as free wifi. Up here you'll also find the range of party rooms available to book, where you can sync your own party music from your phone.

Previously known as The Jump Capital, new owner Oxygen has invested over £1m to create a new family-focused activity park that they say will offer "exercise, learning new skills, burning off energy and putting a smile on your face". There's a bold new look inside the play park - with a range of bright neons and purple interiors - which is just next to the Handforth Dean business park near Wilmslow.

The play park has zones suitable for all, and during term-time weekdays there will be daily toddler sessions for 0-5 with prices starting from £13 for one adult and one toddler. Jump sessions, meanwhile, can be booked in 60 minute or 90 minute sessions, with prices starting from £13.50 for over 5s.

Everyone taking part in the trampolining must wear the Oxygen socks - which are available to be purchased on arrival and can then be reused on future visits.

The new Handforth centre is the sixth Oxygen site across the UK and has created 60 jobs. And bosses say that Oxygen's Bouncers - the park team who create games and challenges for kids across every session - are key to their success.

There are also dedicated party hosts too, who will create "magical moments" for children's parties that can be booked in one of six new state-of-the-art party rooms.

The rooms, that can host up to 20 kids at a time or be opened out for bigger groups, come complete with a digital "crown" that you can personalise your child's birthday message on.

Party packages start at £21.95 per child for standard up to £34.95 per child for the "jumptastic" VIP party package.

Bosses have announced there will also be ‘Peaceful Play’ autism-friendly sessions as well as a range of fitness classes, dodgeball, a monthly neon night disco and Oxygen’s regular club night with challenges and prizes.

The climbing wall is available for over 5s, and you'll pay £5 for a 30 minute climb. Or you can add a climb on to the jump packages as well.

In the café there is a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks, including milkshakes for £4.50, slushies for £4.25 or real fruit smoothies for £3.95. Food includes wraps and paninis from £4.95, 12" pizzas from £9.95, chicken burgers for £8.95 and hot dogs from £4.95.

There are also kids' meal deals including "Little Ones Lunchboxes" where you can choose a sandwich, drink + three items for £4.50, or a main + two sides + dessert deal for £6.95.

Andy Deakin, Oxygen Wilmslow Park Manager, said: “We can’t wait to introduce Oxygen Wilmslow to the community. We are building on the success of The Jump Capital and bringing a new and improved park to the area.

"We want to help encourage children’s activity, building a family-friendly centre that offers plenty to get the blood pumping in safe and thrilling ways. But we also wanted the park to appeal to an older audience too; the park is a place for everyone to have fun whilst keeping active.

“Our ambitions for the park have been matched by our investment, and although trampolines might be a key attraction, our team are the real stars. Every day we will deliver moments that matter for each jumper and are confident this is a place that will have your kids bouncing.”

Oxygen Wilmslow opens from Saturday, October 22 at Epsom Avenue, Handforth, Wilmslow, SK9 3PW and then will be open daily - 9.30am – 6pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 9.30 – 8pm and 9.00am to 6pm at weekends. For more information, head to oxygenfreejumping.co.uk/wilmslow
