A fun play bus packed full of free activities aimed at families with young children is making its way to Edinburgh on Wednesday.
Heading for the Gilmerton Community Centre on December 21, the double-decker PlayTalkRead (PTR) Bus will be parked up for parents with young children aged up to four years old to hop on.
Inside they will find lots of fun activities that they and their wee one can do together to have a fun afternoon out.
Posting on their official Facebook page, PTR wrote: "We have arts and crafts, messy play, fancy dress and lots of books for you to enjoy. Our activities are aimed at families with children 0-4 years old. No booking is necessary and entry is free."

They noted that these sessions on board their buses are to allow families to have time to play, talk and read together, this means that they aren't able to accommodate larger groups from childcare settings such as nurseries, toddler groups and childminders.
Part of the programme delivered by Smart Play Network, a national play organisation in Scotland, PlayTalkRead aims to provide fun, low-cost ideas for parents with little ones to encourage playing, talking and reading together.
