Liz Hurley's lookalike son Damian is set to inherit several millions of pounds after winning a lawsuit against his rich grandfather – who tried to cut him out of his inheritance.
Dr Peter Bing was unhappy that his son, Steve, had a child with Liz out of wedlock.
And, other relatives believed that Liz had just used Steve to have a child as a way of getting access to his money - claims she always denied.
As a result, Peter tried to stop Damian from gaining access to his fortune.
He said: “Even were Stephen to develop a relationship with Damian now, I would not consider him my grandchild because he is nearing adulthood.”
However, following an ongoing legal battle, Damian won the lawsuit in July and has since lived a luxurious millionaire lifestyle.
But this wasn't the first time that Damian had encountered problems with his family.
As from the moment Liz announced that she was pregnant in 2001, Bing denied paternity – even forcing his former flame to publicly state that she has not been with another man.
In a statement released at the time, Bing said: “Ms Hurley and I were not in an exclusive relationship when she became pregnant. It is her choice to be a single mother.
“If indeed I am the father, I will be an extremely involved and responsible parent.”
When Damian was born in April 2004, Bing offered to set up a yearly trust for him to access when he was 18 years old but Hurley refused.
Now Bing pays £1.8million in annual instalments of £100,000 but it's reported that Bing never met his son.
As a result, Liz and Damian now have an extremely close bond and have even referred to each other as “soul mates”.
Last year, the Hollywood star, 54, admitted that she regularly shares clothes with her son.
She said: “I tend to wear Damian's cast-offs. His 14 to 15-year-old trackie bottoms fit me perfectly.”
And the pair's relationship was even branded “weird” by Eamonn Holmes after it was revealed that Damian takes his mothers sexy bikini pics – something which Liz slammed as “ridiculous”.
Instead, she explained their closeness, stating: “Given I'm a single mother and he's an only child, by default we spend a lot of time together and we are utterly comfortable in each other's company.
“I rather think I've simply been blessed with a child whose personality gels with mine.
“Friends who have several children always admit, although they love them all equally, inevitably there's one whose personality mirrors their own and they 'get' each other better.”
And the pair aren't just similar in personality. For, it's impossible to miss their near-identical looks.
Earlier this year, Damian followed in his mum's modelling footsteps as he made his debut in a video for celebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath.
And both mother and son are signed with the same modelling agency in London – TESS Management.
But it was only after his first professional shoot that his protective mother let him have a public Instagram account.
She said: “I've always said absolutely not, it has to be private because you're putting up – as you should be - silly pictures of you and your friends at school and they're private.
“You don't want anybody just looking at that. But because he's now had his first professional job, he's going to have a public profile different to his personal one... and those are the ones that people who will employ him or fall in love with him in the future are allowed to see because he's young.”
And Damian and Liz have even shared their acting careers. As, in 2016, Damian made his TV debut in his mother's show, The Royals, where he played Prince Hansel Von Liechtenstein.
Liz said: “He's been such a supporter of the show and indeed of me for his whole life. And to have him actually be in costume, mic-ed up, doing his lines, I was proud.”
