Inside the hotel that celebrates Christmas all year long including visits from Santa

If like Wizzard you wish it could be Christmas every day, then you're in luck.

A hotel in Tennessee has taken the glam rock band's lyrics seriously and styled itself as a never ending festive experience.

Hopefully the Inn at Christmas Place is an upbeat version of this idea, and not the repetitive hell scape depicted in Black Mirror in which a man is trapped in a VR xmas prison for eternity as a punishment.

The hotel is located next to Dollywood theme park, meaning guests can visit the the country singer's iconic ranch in the day, and then relax into a wood fired, brandy soaked stupor in the evenings.

As the Inn is in Tennessee, those visiting there can expect to bask in plus 30C degrees in the summer months. - but luckily the hotel also has an outdoor pool, 95-ft figure-eight water slide and splash pad which families can use to keep cool.

Still, there's Christmas fun to be had all year round.

Father Christmas is available for meet-and-greets as part of a package of activities that include gingerbread making and free milk and biscuits.

There's also a huge Glockenspiel that plays Christmas carols and strikes the time hourly, as well as a 'Singing Santa' who sings - you guessed it - more Christmas carols.

Christmas trees, fairy lights and holly serve as decoration in the 150-room Bavarian themed hotel, which looks like an American infused Alpine ski lodge.

Young guests can write a letter to Father Christmas and post it to him, and receive an email in response.

At points the main festive man himself will pop into the hotel to roast marshmallows and help at the check-in desk.

The fun continues in each room, where a large Christmas tree hangs over the beds.

The jewel in the hotel's crown is Santa's Suite where a fire roars away in a huge hearth and decorations run throughout the room, with a Christmas tree, festive lights and even a couple of Santa statues and art work dotted throughout.

Rooms start from $205 (approximately £191). You can find out more and book at innatchristmasplace.com.

The reviews for the Inn are glowing, with the hotel scoring an impressive five stars on Tripadvisor.

"This is absolutely my favourite place to visit," one person wrote online.

"Our family has enjoyed it for years. My three-year-old old grandson had his first trip here this summer.

"He was more than excited. He immediately referred to it as his castle. The staff here is exceptional and go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. We look forward to many returns."

Another added: "I was surprised to find that our room had its own small Christmas tree, brass reindeer and Christmas plates for soap and washcloths.

"It is truly a Christmas paradise. The outdoor pool has an amazing slide and the pool is very large. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub."
