Inside the funky new Talbot Street cocktail bar Electric Circus

Electric Circus is now open on Dublin's Talbot Street and has given the area a dose of colour and vibrancy that it has been missing.

The bar, owned by the same people who brought us The Celt right next door and Mema's on Parnell Street, is an addition to Dublin's northside that is sure to delight foodies and late night revellers.

Dublin Live took a peak inside the bar which is decked out in grand circus-themed decor with walls and surfaces full of things to look at all night.

The drinks menu is comprised of a range of signature cocktails. Plus, food available at the venue includes delicious wings, tenders, burgers and messy fries.

The space was previously used as a French restaurants, Le Bon Crubeen. Now with a brand new facade, interiors that seem made for Instagram and a menu of food and drinks that is rather inviting, Electric Circus is in an ideal place to position itself as a go-to spot for casual dining and drinks in the north inner city.

Bar manager Nheaca spoke to Dublin Live about what the bar has on offer for curious (and hungry) Dubs.

She said: "You come in and you definitely think you're in a circus. There's so much to see on the walls. You can stay near the bar where it's colourful and busy and then the lounge area to the side is more chill.

"It's mostly signature cocktails. There are a few classics but we put our own twist on them. My favourite cocktail on the menu would be The Lion Tamer. It's Jack Daniel's Honey, passionfruit puree, lemon juice, apple juice and sugar.

She added: "There's just so much to see in here. The staff are very good at what they do, and the food is amazing.

"There's not much on the northside, especially on Talbot Street. It's nice to see something colourful open here."

Electric Circus is located at 81-82 Talbot Street and is open until 11.30pm from Monday to Thursday, until 12.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and 11pm on Sunday.
