Inside the eerie abandoned funeral home frozen in time with a Rolls-Royce hearse

An eerie funeral home frozen in time has been discovered after being left abandoned for over five years.

Ben James, 35, an urban explorer, was brave enough to venture into Pearly Gates Funeral Home in Alabama, US, and found all its creepy contents still there.

Despite the building seeing signs of decay, the funeral home has remained untouched, with everything from embalming tools, clothing, ready-made coffins, and a Rolls-Royce hearse left behind.

According to neighbours, the building was abandoned in 2017 after the funeral director died in the embalming room.

It's believed the funeral director now haunts the funeral home, with parts of the home - including the chapel - boarded up to prevent his spirit from escaping.

Ben, from Eaton Socon, Cambridgeshire, revealed he was astonished at his findings as he found rusting Rolls-Royce cars sat in the driveway.

He said: "I've spent the past two weeks exploring abandoned places in the US.

"It was crazy to see these slowly rusting Rolls-Royce cars just sat in the driveway still, they've all gone from white to green with flat tyres.

"It's clear no one has been there for quite some time, as the building is slowly collapsing from the outside in.

"There's so much left behind like caskets, office furniture and a fully stocked embalming room, complete with all the tools and liquids."

The urban explorer revealed even the calendar was still stuck in 2017 and contained the last notes of bodies coming in along their burial dates.

He added: "Even the calendar on the wall was still stuck in time from 2017, with the last scribbles of the bodies coming in and burial dates.

"It had an incredibly eerie feel to it, and we were constantly looking over our shoulders as it felt like someone was following us, but when we turned, there was never anyone there.

"A lot of funeral homes have a similar feeling and air about them, but usually, what's trapped inside the walls can't hurt you.

"Apparently the owner died of natural causes in the embalming room, which is quite odd, and even odder still, there was a specific casket left there that he always joked he wanted to buried in.
