Inside the city's most affordable - and most expensive - student accommodation

With many students having received their A-Levels results this week, many will be taking the leap and moving to Liverpool for university this coming September.

The city is home to thousands of students who attend the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool Hope University and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). For incoming students, the idea of picking accommodation can be daunting.

Those moving to the city will find lots of choice on where to live, from in halls, to house shares, to purpose built student apartments. As a quick guide, we've put together a list of some of different student accommodation in Liverpool, from the most affordable to the most luxurious.

Borden Court, London Road

X1 Borden Court on London Road, is one of the more affordable shared student accommodation sites in Liverpool and is perfect for anyone on a budget for £75 per week.

Situated in the heart of the city, this property is just a five minute walk from both Lime Street station and the main University campuses.

Rooms start from £105 a week for an en-suite bronze, each of the rooms has a communal kitchen shared between four to six residents.

There is a large communal garden for those wanting an outdoor space.

Great Newton House, Lower Gill Street

Only a short ten minute walk to Liverpool and John Moores University, rooms start from £120pw for a 51 week contract with a range of options for students, with en-suite rooms, apartments and studios.

They have a team and security on site 24/7 so residents feel safe and supported, and run a full programme of social events and clubs for residents to enjoy, including iQ Book Club, Supper Club, Gaming and FIT clubs.

Capital Gate, Daulby Street

A newly refurbished building, rooms start from £129 per week for en-suite rooms. At the heart of the city centre, Capital Gate is a minute walk from the University of Liverpool campus.

Providing a social space where flatmates can get to know one another, the flat also has comfy social and study spaces.

The Edge, Seymour Street

Starting from £130 a week, the building with both shared and single accommodation is well located for students at the University of Liverpool and John Moores and is just a five minute walk from campus.

Starting from £155 a week , students can get an en-suite room with a communal kitchen shared between six students.

If the range of facilities such as a free gym isn’t tempting enough, some rooms have city-wide views, including of the Liver Building and Docks.

Vita Student, Crosshall Street

With prices ranging from £163 to £350 per week, this accommodation is certainly on the higher end of the market.

Residents get bills included, studio apartments with an en-suite bathroom and kitchen, access to the gym, breakfast every morning, private dining rooms, lounge areas and co-working spaces
