Inside the childhood home of Beatles star George Harrison on Airbnb for £300 a night

After A Hard Day’s Night, where better for Beatles fans to get their heads down than in George Harrison’s childhood home – available on Airbnb for up to £300 a night.

Photos show the living room has the same floral wallpaper seen in early images of George, who lived there from the age of six.

In the living room guests will find a guitar that they can play in the room where the iconic band held its early rehearsals. And photos of George growing up and the Fab Four performing are dotted around the house.

The youngest of four children, George and his family lived at 25 Upton Green in Speke, Liverpool, from 1949 to 1962 – just as The Beatles, whose hits include Let It Be, were about to hit the big time.

Before they became The Beatles, George, John Lennon and Paul McCartney were in The Quarrymen, a skiffle band which also practised at the house in the 1950s.

The terraced home was bought at auction for £171,000 last November by 48-year-old American Ken Lambert.

Another fan had paid £156,000 for it seven years earlier.

Ken said: “I’m a big Beatles fan and George is my favourite Beatle. I saw it was available for sale and decided to place a bid on it. It was in pretty good shape but it was totally vacant.”
